The From the Anvil Monkeytail Door Handle is a black door handle on backplate that is individually forged in steel on an anvil.
The backplate is flat and smooth with a rectangular shape that has a stepped design in each corner, with a spiral curled lever.
Also known as a traditional monkeytail lever, as part of the design they are unsprung; we therefore recommend a heavy sprung latch or lock.
(**Please note: The Powder Coat & Pewter Version has now been updated with a unique boss design, to incorporate a heavy duty spring mechanism to allow the lever handle to 'spring' back to the horizontal position. The Beeswax version is still unsprung but will be going through the same change soon.)
Part of our From The Anvil range these are faithfully reproduced to original designs by hand in the traditional fashion of English Blacksmiths.
Ideally suited to Cottages, Listed Buildings and Period properties.
