Description

The TLS50 Architectural Quality Heavy Spung Tubular Latch, ideal for use with unsprung door furniture. This tubular latch is the strongest latch in our range. This quality tubular latch is suitable for use with bolt through fixings, and comes as standard with quality removable forend and strike plate, hardened steel follower, a dust box to neaten the appearance and conceal unsightly chisel marks into the door frame, and a precision-guided Latch-bolt (tongue).

This tubular latch closes very softly and the action is beautifully smooth, but the latch features an exceptionally powerful return spring, to return the handle or knob to the horizontal position, and avoid drooping. The TLS Heavy Sprung Tubular Latch is highly recommended when fitting door handles or doorknobs that are unsprung or particularly heavy.

This latch is an excellent choice for use with doorknobs, as it is available in lengths up to 128mm. We recommend a minimum backset of 82mm or more when using these latches with Door Knobs, to avoid any risk of scraped knuckles on the door frame! For more information on how to choose the correct tubular latch, and choose the right size tubular latch for your door, please see our handy guide on Tubular Latches right here.

NOTE - The 64mm Latches (2.5") DL5025 and TLS5025 do not have bolt-through fixing holes.

Supplied in SINGLES complete with screws, strike plate and dust box.

ART5105 Rebate kits to suit this lock are also available to order. Rebate kits are for double doors which have been cut, or 'rebated' into one another. Click here for a link to further information on rebate kits if you think you may need one.

Are your latches tested for fd30 fire doors?

Yes they are

Answered 1 month ago

What is the width and length of the tubular latch forend? I need to make sure it is the same or larger than the one it is replacing.

The strike plate is 60mm x 25mm, and the forend is 65mm x 40mm

Are these sprung latches from Eurospec left or right hand or are they reversible for doors that clause either way? Many thanks Sean

These are reversible, once the face late is fitted it will hold the bolt in the correct position
