Description
The From The Anvil Slim Style Suffolk Thumblatch is traditionally used on a ledge and braced door. When this lever is pressed down, it operates a thumb bar. The thumb bar passes through the door, lifting the latch bar on the opposite side and allowing the door to open. This thumblatch has been hand hammered into shape in mild steel by From The Anvil's Blacksmiths. Thumblatches are typically used in conjunction with a T hinge on traditional plank doors, suitable for a maximum door thickness of 45mm.
