The Medium Bean Thumblatch is a very traditional piece of ironmongery, the thumb piece passes through the door and raises the latch bar off the keep. To restrict the latch bar movement a staple pin or screw on staple is provided (discard unused pin or staple).
Part of our From The Anvil range these are faithfully reproduced to original designs by hand in the traditional fashion of English Blacksmiths.
Ideally suited to Cottages, Listed Buildings and Period properties.

Powder Coat Finish - A durable corrosion resistant finish providing a tougher coating- suitable for external use.
Beeswax Finish - A special Wax finish that imparts a subtle matt richness to the metal - INTERNAL USE ONLY.
External Beeswax Finish - Manufactured from an anti-corrosive beeswax which is salt tested to 480 hours. It has a matt richness and similarly to our standard beeswax the depth of colour ranges from blue to deep red ochre.
Pewter Patina - A beautiful applied pewter finish giving excellent anti-corrosion properties- suitable for external use.
