The DK34MCCP Delamain Porcelain Door Knob is beautifully made and finished, part of Carlisle Brass's Delamain range. The Delamain range represents the highest quality available in both construction and finish. The Delamain Porcelain Door Knob is of French influence, and uses a careful mix between finishes. The subtle blue-grey tinted crackle finish of the porcelain is offset by the bright polished chrome.
This is an Unsprung Door Knob, and therefore we recommend that it is fitted with a double sprung tubular latch. As with all door knobs, we recommend this door knob is used with a longer tubular latch, ideally with a minimum length of 104mm (82mm Backset) to avoid scraped knuckles on the door frame.
Please note, the crackle effect on these porcelain knobs is achieved by firing in a kiln, so by nature, the effect will differ from batch to batch. The size of the crackled sections, and the colour tone of the porcelain may differ from the image shown.
Supplied in PAIRS complete with spindle and screws.
FITTING NOTE: This door knob has traditional Face Fixings, by way of a decorative slot-head screw made from brass. When fitting, please pilot the holes for these screws using a drill bit which is one size smaller than the gauge of the screw. Drive the screws into the timber slowly and with care, by hand. Do not use power tools. If the timber is oak, we recommend you rub each screw with candle wax before fitting, to prevent breakages.
