The From the Anvil Plain Pear Covered Escutcheon 83557, part of the From the Anvil range of door furniture. These solid traditional little escutcheons are manufactured in solid brass, which is polished and left unlacquered for authenticity.
The escutcheon is standard profile and can be used with most standard profile Mortice locks, rim locks, dead locks and is ideal for use with From the Anvil mortice/rim knob sets. The purpose of the escutcheon is to offer protection to your door against damage from the key, help complete the appearance of a door set of ironmongery, and the cover aids in the prevention of draughts.

Polished Brass - From the Anvil's Polished Brass products come un-lacquered for authenticity. The finish may be maintained with Brasso, or left to acquire a darker and more aged patina.
Antique Brass - The antique brass finish has been treated to speed up the natural tarnishing process, which imparts an antique feel. It is then burnished lightly and left un-lacquered.
Aged Brass -To achieve the Aged Brass Finish the Brass is treated to accelerated the ageing process, but then lightly re-polished. This highlights any detail on the product. It is left un-lacquered for authenticy.
Aged Bronze - From the Anvil's Aged Bronze products are manufactured from unpolished solid bronze. Overtime and through use the solid bronze will slowly lighten in colour resulting in a beautiful subtle patine look.
Polished Nickel - A highly polished finish with a nickel plating applied to a solid brass substrate. Nickel is similar to the polished chrome finish, but with a slightly warmer tone.
