A traditional style letter plate. This is a machine forged, heavyweight, well constructed solid brass letter plate, with a sprung flap. Seen on many Victorian doors, regularly on Impressive town houses and terraces, this item has been perfectly replicated to the original. It benefits from large aperture capable of receiving A4 post without folding the envelope, yet still maintaining the charm and elegance of a period Letter Plate.
Available with or without a door clapper - please see the options below. This letter plate has a corresponding interior flap. This is a particularly heavyweight and sturdy design, to achieve that period feel. While not mandatory to the function of the exterior letter plate, we recommend they be used together for aesthetic purposes, as well to help cut down on draughts. To provide a more authentic appearance, the brass has been left un-lacquered to allow it to naturally age over time, and acquire its own unique patina. The brass can be polished in the traditional way if desired.
