The Zoo Hardware Upright Latch is a secure and durable Latch with a rectangular forend and strike plate, available in 2.5 and 3 inch versions with polished and satin stainless steel finishes.
These upright Latches are housed in a rectangular casing, rather than a tube. One of the most common applications for upright latches is in situations when door manufacturers will use a single lock jig to cut uniform size cutout across their doors, for both locks and latches, for speed and non-complication purposes. For this reason it benefits them to have locks and latches that have the same sized case.
