Croft Hardware Quatrefoil Bell Push - 1915. A solid bell press that is beautifully hand made in a quatrefoil shape. A decorative and ornamental shape that represents a four lobes, leaves or clover leaves. The quatrefoil enjoyed its peak popularity during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, traditionally used in Gothic architectural tracery, where a quatrefoil often may be seen at the top of a Gothic arch. The bell push has a countersunk hole in each corner for secure screw fixing.
