The Croft Hardware Oval Door Knob on Backplate is a beautifully smooth oval door knob on a simple rectangular backplate with a counter-sunk hole in each corner for easy and secure visible screw fixing. The backplate is available in long standard UK lock or bathroom locking backplates and non-locking short latch backplate.

Yes you would need to buy either a bathroom lock, or a latch and deadbolt to have this item work.
