Crafted using traditional blacksmithing techniques, the Hand-Forged Suffolk Thumb Latch Set in beeswax finish is a faithful reproduction of a design that dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Originally from Suffolk and seen throughout the UK, this latch is the perfect finishing touch for period renovations, cottage interiors, and restoration projects.

Each set is individually hand-forged from solid steel bar, giving it an authentic texture and robust feel. Finished with a classic black beeswax coating, it not only enhances the rustic look but also protects the metal over time.

Optional Add-On:
For bedrooms or bathrooms, a locking pin is available separately to prevent the latch bar from lifting, providing added privacy.
