Rimlocks have been used on doors for Centuries, and are a very authentic way to add character to a property.
This is a 2 Lever Rim Lock with an unlacquered brass cover over the top.
It is reversible to allow for left / right hand fitting and comes without knobs.
The mechanism is not insurance rated and therefore to comply, would need to be used in conjunction with a dead lock.
Cast from solid brass, with quality brass movements and components inside, this is an excellent and accurate reproduction of a Victorian style lock.
At seven inches in length, this extremely large and heavy Rim Lock really makes an impression, especially when used on large entrance doors.
Part of our From The Anvil range these are faithfully reproduced to original designs by hand in the traditional fashion of English Blacksmiths.
Ideally suited to Cottages, Listed Buildings and Period properties.
