From The Anvil Rim Lock & Cover

The From The Anvil Rim Lock & Cover is a very authentic way to add character to a property. This is a 2 Lever Rim Lock with a cast iron cover over the top. It is reversible to allow for left/right-hand fitting and comes without knobs. The mechanism is not insurance rated and therefore to comply, would need to be used in conjunction with a deadlock. Ideally suited to Cottages, Listed Buildings and Period properties.

Beeswax (internal use only) - This is From the Anvil’s most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre.
Black - This is a popular choice in traditional settings. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. During the manufacturing process, From The Anvil’s Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities.
Pewter Patina - They are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. From The Anvil’s manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. 
Unlacquered Brass - Made from solid, unlacquered brass and has soft, golden hues which offer a depth of reflection. This works wonderfully in period dwellings but can also be used to bring a classic twist to contemporary properties. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look.
