Description
The Alexander and Wilks portable free-standing door stops are satin chrome and are available in three sizes. As these door stops are portable they can be placed wherever you wish to hold the door open or prevent it from banging into a wall.
It is a solid brass door stop in a fresh and contemporary satin chrome finish, with a rubber ring around the circumference to cushion the door and a rubber base to help stop it from slipping.
This freestanding door stop from Alexander and Wilks is particularly useful for tiled floors, underfloor heating situations, and other areas where fixing would be difficult.

Does the door stop rely on it's own weight or does it need to be placed against a skirting board to prevent movement. Would it work on a heavy, solid front door?
This would be best pressed up against the skirting board, as it would not be heavy enough to not move with the door when opening
