The Medium Bean Thumblatch is a very traditional piece of ironmongery.
The thumb piece passes through the door and raises the latch bar off the keep. To restrict the latch bar movement a staple pin or screw on staple is provided (discard unused pin or staple).

Note - The XL version has an extra long thumb bar for thicker doors, 45 - 50mm.
