When buying UPVC door or window furniture it is important to get all
measurements correct from the outset. This will ensure that the
furniture you choose is correct for your property, as UPVC fittings do
differ by manufacturer, and not all furniture will fit all doors and
windows.
Listed below is a short questionnaire that will help you select the
correct furniture for your property.
(1) What is the distance between the centre of your key hole, and the
centre of your handle (actually the centre of your Spindle)? This is
known as the key hole distance and will usually be either 70mm or 92mm.
(2) What is the measurement of your Backplate? You should ensure that
the proposed products size is equal to, or greater than, the one you
are replacing, as this will ensure that it covers any unsightly
discoloration. Remember to measure both length and width.
(3) What is the width of your door or window?
